Because a good portion of this book is text over images and because the kindle only displays black, white and shades of gray, when displayed on a kindle device, much of the book is gray text on gray images. It is very hard if not impossible to see the text. The book is okay when displayed in the kindle app on an iPad because the black text appears over the pink, green, blue and yellow images and is therefore legible.This book is a broad but not very deep look at the brain. The book has two and only two pages on each topic. Learning a language gets two pages. How memories are formed gets two pages. Alzheimer's gets two pages. The networks of brain cells gets two pages. Artificial intelligence gets two pages.I would say that this book covers very little of how the brain works. This book is like something Time-Life would produce.
